Communications & Engagement

The Communications and Engagement (C&E) department develops strategic communications campaigns to drive MOHT’s direction and goals in alignment with MOH’s priorities in healthcare. C&E helms efforts to build and maintain a strong brand identity that reflects MOHT’s personality, strengths and values; building on existing capabilities in the areas of integrated communications, media, corporate identity, branding, marketing communications and programme communications support.

Integrated Communications

Our approach involves partnering with programme managers and subject matter experts, using a blend of media channels with social media marketing to create programme awareness, boost digital presence, and strengthen brand personality. C&E also leads the development of MOHT’s brand and corporate identity by setting policies to govern the appropriate use and application of brand assets.

Media Engagement

C&E leads various media engagement efforts to amplify awareness of MOHT’s contributions to national healthcare objectives. We identify compelling media angles, provide media management expertise to internal stakeholders, and position MOHT as a thought leader in healthcare innovation.

Recent media engagements include:

  • Launch of mindline.sg, a digital mental health tool offering a wide variety of resources to facilitate the self-management of mental wellbeing
  • Launch of Design4Impact, an open innovation platform to co-create solutions at the health-socio-community intersect; and the D4I Incubation programme to bring solutions from prototypes to pilots to scaling
  • Launch of the MIC@Home (Mobile Inpatient Care-at-Home), an alternative inpatient care delivery model that extends hospital level services to clinically stable patients within the comfort of their homes
  • Publicity of OCP, a web-based application facilitating data sharing across health and social care providers to enable integrated care for patients

Internal Communications

In collaboration with internal stakeholders, C&E builds strategic alignment towards MOHT’s mission and purpose through efforts in clarifying MOHT’s organisational statements and the creation of opportunities for generative conversations aimed to build a work culture that fosters cohesion, collaboration and coherence.

Engagement and Community Co-Creation

C&E collaborates with industry, design consultants, academia and grassroots to drive user-centred research to enable a more inclusive community-based approach to designing prototypes that inform relevant care design. C&E’s flagship programme Design4Impact (D4I) is a health-socio-community initiative that provides structured training to participants to build feasible solutions for at-risk groups, and connects them to resources, funding and networks to implement their pilots in the community. D4I hosts a Community of Practice where D4I alumni interact with collaborators from healthcare, social services, technology and design sectors, with the expertise and resources to champion and develop promising pilots post-challenge. In the near future, D4I aims to publish a social innovation playbook comprising methodology, tools and case studies to guide a community-based approach to designing solutions in healthcare.
